Growth. Whether you want to grow professionally or personally, developing emotional intelligence is a key. I can help you gain insight into yourself and your triggers, understand others and their motivations, enhance your emotional intelligence and skills, communicate effectively with diverse personalities, and increase your influence.
Expatriation. Moving to a new country and adapting to foreign norms can be challenging. Confusion, loneliness, and longing for home are common feelings. As an expat myself, I understand these struggles and can support you in managing culture shock, developing coping strategies, building new connections, and creating a fulfilling life in your new setting.
Burnout. Burnout can have a wide range of effects on both physical and mental health, as well as on personal and professional life. I can help you process feelings of exhaustion, learn stress management techniques, create boundaries between work and personal life, set new personal and professional goals, and rebuild motivation and direction. If burnout is work-related, exploring career changes or adjustments can be helpful for long-term satisfaction.
Narcissism. Working or living with a narcissist can be exhausting. If you feel like you must walk on eggshells to avoid conflict, if you experience emotional manipulation, chronic self-doubt, feelings of inadequacy, and find yourself isolated, seek support from friends, family, or a therapist. I offer a safe space and can help you navigate difficult interactions by helping you to recognize manipulative tactics, (re-)establishing healthy boundaries, and rebuilding confidence.
The ultimate goal of therapy is to improve your quality of life and your overall functioning.
Therapy is designed to help increase your personal insight, promote healthy behaviors, and improve upon or teach new methods for coping. Armed with these new skills, you can begin to make changes in your life.
A change within you will almost certainly influence your surroundings, as inner change is, often than not, accompanied by a change of how you act on the outside. Moreover, therapy makes it simpler to live with others by understanding them more.
Many people before you (and many are still to come) had comparable struggles. You are not alone in your wish for the better. If you feel like you might need some assistance with changes you want to make, let me know.
What's with all the buzz? To put it simple:
Coach is working primarily with topics of personal development: expanding talents, increasing potential, self-value, and motivation. Sometimes working with motivation alone is not enough, no matter how hard someone wants to change, something within blocks the change. In this case, counselling takes a step further, by including work with inner bottlenecks to get insights in what hinders a person from within. Therapist goes even deeper and provides assistance with (dissociated) traumatic experiences to release deep pain, fear and/or stagnation.
A simplified reference to "therapy" is used throughout this website.
